Factor

Factor is an innovative decentralized finance (DeFi) platform that enables users to create, manage, and monetize DeFi strategies without coding expertise. It allows users to seamlessly integrate protocols from the DeFi ecosystem into automated, permissionless strategies across multiple blockchains. Maktoum played a key role by providing expert frontend, backend, and blockchain development services to boost the platform’s performance and scalability.

CHALLENGE / OPPORTUNITY

As Factor’s user base grew, the platform encountered difficulties in managing and scaling its infrastructure. The integration of multiple DeFi protocols, ensuring secure and automated transactions, and maintaining optimal performance became pressing challenges.

THE SOLUTION

Maktoum supported Factor’s development by assigning a dedicated team of experts in frontend, backend, and blockchain. Our contributions included:

Blockchain: We developed custom Solidity smart contracts for yield optimization across protocols like Aave, Compound, and Uniswap. Using upgradable proxy patterns and the diamond pattern (ERC-2535), we ensured contract scalability and maintainability.

Frontend: We crafted modular UI/UX components for Factor’s dApp, enabling on-chain interactions and seamless SDK integration with various protocols. Our team enhanced the management interface, improving state management and communication between the platform and external services.

Backend: We architected scalable APIs to connect the frontend with the blockchain, designing a secure, high-performance API layer to handle real-time interactions with smart contracts and integrate external data sources.

IMPACT

Improved scalability and security for the platform’s infrastructure.

Seamless integration of multiple DeFi protocols, ensuring efficient, automated transactions.

A user-friendly dApp interface with real-time interaction capabilities.

Continuous support for advanced features like Factor Studio, ensuring the platform remains scalable, secure, and innovative.
